Shinobi Kids

Shinobi Kids Program

Shinobi Kids is more than a martial arts class—it's a structured path to building confident, kind, and capable young people. Designed specifically for homeschool families, our program combines movement, games, and practical life lessons to help kids ages 5–12 grow in coordination, leadership, and self-worth.

We focus on anti-bullying skills, Stranger Danger scenarios, firearm and fire safety, and team-based challenges—while keeping things fun, engaging, and age-appropriate. We don’t teach unrealistic fight moves or encourage violence. Instead, kids learn how to set boundaries, speak up, and protect themselves through awareness and smart decision-making.

Led by Duff Sensei and the colorful Shinobi Kids crew, every class blends physical training with real-world lessons—giving your child tools that extend far beyond the dojo.

Shinobi Kids Rules

  1. Always be kind and treat others the way you want to be treated.

    • Fostering kindness and respect towards others is fundamental to creating a positive and supportive environment.
  2. Listen to and follow rules.

    • Following instructions promptly ensures safety and allows for a productive learning environment.
  3. Be mindful of your surroundings.

    • Awareness of one's environment promotes safety and prevents accidents during training.
  4. Do not touch things in the dojo without permission.

    • Respecting the dojo's equipment and property reinforces discipline and responsibility.
  5. Inform instructors of any illness or injury.

    • Prioritizing health and safety by notifying instructors ensures appropriate accommodations and prevents further injury.
  6. We take our trash home with us and keep the dojo clean and tidy.

    • Taking responsibility for cleanliness fosters a sense of ownership and respect for the training space.
  7. Show gratitude to your instructors and classmates. Good manners are invaluable.

    • Expressing gratitude cultivates a positive atmosphere and strengthens relationships within the dojo community.
  8. Be excited for challenges even when they are difficult. Shinobi Kids Never Give Up.

    • Embracing challenges with enthusiasm and perseverance fosters growth and resilience in training and in life. Afterall, the symbol for nin in ninja means a person of endurance and perseverance.
  9. Don't think less of yourself, think of yourself less.

    • Encouraging humility and selflessness promotes teamwork and empathy among participants.

By prioritizing these rules in this order, we emphasize safety, respect, cleanliness, communication, and personal growth, which are essential elements of the Shinobi Kids program at Sanami Defense Academy.
