A Sanami Defense Academy Signature Course – Mobility, Precision, Pressure

Shotgun 3: Advanced is where power meets precision. This course is designed for students who have completed Shotgun 2 and are ready to operate their shotgun under true fight conditions—movement, distance, transitions, and pressure.

Over the course of 8 hours, students will face realistic challenges that push every skill to the limit. You’ll be expected to move fluidly between shooting positions, solve complex reload problems on the fly, and manage transitions between your shotgun and secondary weapon. We also introduce red dot shotgun work, and stretch out to 100+ yards to define your shotgun’s ballistic capability.

What You’ll Train

  • Dynamic movement and positional shooting

  • On-the-move reloads and transition control

  • Primary to secondary weapon transitions under pressure

  • Retention-based close-quarters shot placements

  • Distance accuracy and spread control beyond 100 yards

  • Red dot optics integration and point-of-impact assessment

  • Pressure-based problem solving in live scenarios

This is a high-level, performance-focused class, designed to forge confidence through adversity and repetition.

Course Format

  • Duration: 8 Hours

  • Environment: Outdoor live-fire only

  • Pace: Fast. Expect movement, sweat, and accountability

  • Prerequisite: Completion of Shotgun 2: Intermediate
    (and active proficiency in weapon handling)

What You’ll Need

  • Pump-action or semi-auto shotgun (12 or 20 gauge)

  • 125–150 rounds of birdshot, 25+ slugs

  • 5 on-body shotgun shells minimum

  • Sidearm and holster (with 2 mags and 50 rounds minimum)

  • Red dot optic (if available—optional but encouraged)

  • Sling, shell cards, or belt-based support gear

  • Eye and ear protection

  • Brimmed hat

  • Sunblock

  • Weather-ready range attire

  • Water, snacks, notepad

  • IFAK or trauma kit strongly encouraged

Safety & Conduct Policy

  • Strict safety protocols enforced at all times

  • Unsafe handling or negligent behavior results in immediate removal without refund

Rescheduling Policy

  • No refunds for this course

  • Reschedules permitted with 48 hours’ notice, up to two times within 6 months

  • New registration required after that period
